Deborah Ivri sent me a wonderful song and recording recently that sounded perfect for Mother’s Day. Though Mother’s Day is not officially celebrated in Israel, it is unofficially. Here’s what Deborah said about it…
Here in Israel Mother’s Day is not an official holiday, but because of the vast amount of American Jews and South African Jews, maybe even Russians also, it is celebrated. Even schools and kindergartens do something for Mother’s and Father’s Day. The song I sent you was sung at my son’s kindergarten last year for all the Moms.

Thank you so much for such a lovely song for Mother’s Day. I have never heard a song sung so beatifully unaccompanied. Deborah Ivri’s voice is amazing. Happy Mother’s Day.

That was really beautiful. I’d like to ask if you know the Hebrew transliteration for the English word: Mother-in-law. I’d appreciate your help because I can’t find the transliteration anywhere.
I’m grateful that your lovely song was transliterated from English to Hebrew. I cannot read Hebrew characters yet.

What a beautiful song! The choir at my synagogue has decided to include the song in a special Mother’s Day Shabbat that we are planning. Is there sheet music available for this song?
