(English)
Um barquinho ligeiro andava,
ligeirinho andava no mar,
Um barquinho ligeiro andava,
ligeirinho andava no mar,
Uma nevem passou,
e o mar se agitou,
O vento a soprar,
e os barcos a virar!
Vem a onda baloiça o barquinho,
e o barquinho faz chape* no mar!
Vem a onda baloiça o barquinho,
e o barquinho faz chape* no mar!
Vem a onda baloiça o barquinho,
e o barquinho faz chape* no mar!
Vem a onda baloiça o barquinho,
e o barquinho faz chape* no mar!
A little boat was lightly sailing,
Sailing lightly over the sea,
A little boat was lightly sailing,
Sailing lightly over the sea,
A cloud passed overhead,
The sea became agitated,
The wind blew,
And the boats all capsized.
A wave rights the little boat,
And off it goes sailing, splash, on the sea.
A wave rights the little boat,
And off it goes sailing, splash, on the sea.
A wave rights the little boat,
And off it goes sailing, splash, on the sea.
A wave rights the little boat,
And off it goes sailing, splash, on the sea.
Notes
*"Chape" is onomatopoeia for the sound the boat makes as it hits the waves. I don't think there's a direct translation to English, however "splash" may be similar.
