Barbara sent us the version she knows from her childhood with this note: "The adult sits the baby on their lap and holds the baby's hands while they're hopping their knees up and down. On the last line, the adult opens their knees apart and the baby 'falls'."

There are some slight differences in Barbara's lyrics. The translations are the same as above except for the last three lines with translations given below:

Riite, riite Rössli,
Z'Bade staat es Schlössli,
z'Bade staat es glodigs Huus
Luoäget drei Mariä drus.
Die eint spinnt Siide,
Die ander schnätzlet Chride (The other grates chalk)
Die dritt spinnt Habermues (The third stirs spelt porridge)
Grüezi wohl mys Schätzeli au. (Greetings to my little treasure too.)
