Stina Olofsson sent this rhyme with the note: "This rhyme means absolutely NOTHING. It's just fun and cute."

Some people only recite the first verse.

Notes

*Sometimes the last line is "Piff paff puff."

Game Instructions

We saw a video of Ole dole doff played as a game. The comment on the video said, "Family gathering around the kitchen table, playing some old school game :) "

The game involves reciting the rhyme, while passing an object to the person on your left, while receiving one from the person on your right. Then you pass then new object you just received to the person of your left and receive a new object from the person on your right. Keep going until you finish reciting the rhyme. Then you change the direction you're passing and receiving on: now continuously pass an object to the person on your right while receiving one from the person on your left, while reciting the rhyme. Each time you finish reciting the whole rhyme, reverse the direction you pass the objects and pass the objects more quickly, until you can't do it any more!
