A Flower is Looking Through the Ground
It's cool when a poem makes you think of the world through a different lens. This piece by Harold Monro is one of those poems…

A Flower is Looking Through the Ground
Poem
A flower is looking through the ground,
Blinking at the April weather;
Now a child has seen the flower:
Now they go and play together.
Now it seems the flower will speak,
And will call the child its brother-
But, oh strange forgetfulness!-
They don't recognize each other.
