A Midsummer Song that's sung while going about a Midsummer pole (Midsommarstång).

You can sing it about going around a Juniper Bush (Enerissnår) or a Midsummer pole (Midsommarstång).

Notes

You can sometimes find "juniper bush" sung as "enebärbuske" instead of "enerissnår".

Game Instructions

On the 1st four lines of each verse, everyone goes around the Midsummer Pole while holding hands. Then on the last four lines of each verse they stand in place and mime the action according to what's sung in the verse; washing clothes, hanging them on a clothesline to dry, ironing them, etc. The song ends with the children "going to church" - i.e. they go around the circle in pairs either arm in arm or holding hands.
