Here's another version from Traditional Nursery Songs of England with Pictures by Eminent Modern Artists edited by Felix Summerly (1843):

Three little dogs were basking in the cinders;
Three little cats were playing in the windows;
Three little mice popped out of a hole,
And a piece of cheese they stole.
The three little cats jumped down in a trice,
And cracked the bones of the three little mice.
