Indra sent me this rhyme with the note: "This rhyme isn't my creation, it used to be recited by little English kids in India during the British Raj when their Indian ayahs were teaching them Hindi.

The original lyrics from England are:

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her,
And frightened Miss Muffet away!

Indra wrote, "No one will know this better than you, but the traditions of hundreds of years ago survive and pass from generation to generation, it's as if there is a freemasonry called childhood through which we all pass, but which alas we forget when grown."
