Notes

Nyango wrote, "This biblical one is for marching to class in the morning thanks to my Baptist School known as CBS Great Soppo (elementary and middle school in a town called Buea, Cameroon. We were also taught to write about God always using a capital letter for any pronoun referring to Him :-)

Some sang: 'The glory of the Lord shall be thy reward'. I think the right one should be in the bible because this is from a bible verse."

Thanks and Acknowledgements

Many thanks to Nyango M. Nambangi of the Minnesota African Women's Association for contributing this song and for telling us about the singing traditions in Cameroon.

Thanks so much!
