Katalinka, szállj el - Hungarian Children's Songs - Hungary - Mama Lisa's World: Children's Songs and Rhymes from Around the World - Intro Image

Game Instructions

The children walk in a circle.
1-2 line: They pretend to flap their wings with their hands.
3-4 line: They crouch down then rise slowly, holding out their hands (taking out the ladybug).
5-6 line: They turn round slowly.
7-8 line: They march stomping into the middle of the circle and clap once at the word "lőnek" meaning "shoot". Then they lift their hands and "let go of the ladybug".

Comments

It's interesting how it seems a ladybug is called "little Catherine" (Katalinka) in Hungarian, and "little Mary" (Mariquita) in Spanish.
