New Years Resolution for the U.S…. How about Some Sane-Sizing instead of Supersizing?

As an American I think it’s time for the US to consider a New Year’s Resolution: Basic portion control.

Why do our fast food places have to supersize everything?  We subconsciously think it’s a good thing because it only costs a quarter more.  How about starting a new category called Sane-Size?  Maybe it will get people thinking, "Hey, I don’t really need to Supersize it just because it’s a deal… I’ll take the Sane-Size."

Plate sizes are another issue… you have to be careful about using super large plates.  When you do, you fill the plate with more food to make it look like you’re getting enough.  Even I need to invest in smaller plates.  It may be an easy way to cut down on portion sizes for the whole family yet not notice it so much.  Feeling like you’re getting enough when you sit down to eat can help you feel sated (an important factor in being successful).

Wishing you luck with your New Years Diets!
