Hi mama lisa,
This song is dear to our heart – the 1st verse is what we sing to get our kids to sleep (swapping their names for Daisy)!.
On a different topic I was wondering if you had a list somewhere on your site of academic years around the world – from a purely blogging point of view it would be useful for me to know when my readers from eg Australia were on their summer holidays (I’ve just learnt that in India April and May are when the schools are out, and that the school year works June -March) , but I also think it could lead into learning about kids around the world and seasons too.
With the multicultural reach and focus of your blog/site I thought this might fit what you do – if it is something you might run with here’s some starting info:
School year in the UK runs September – July. 6 weeks off from mid/end July for the summer. We have three terms with a two week holiday between terms 1 and 2 and 2 and 3, with a week off in the middle of each term! (Actually, a visual representation of this would be better wouldn’t it!).
