A Serbian Version of The Itsy Bitsy Spider

Bojan Aleksić shared this Serbian version of “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” that he translated from the English and sang on the YouTube below…

Bojan wrote, “I managed to translate it so that the original thought stays the same while also rhyming like the original.”

Jedan mali pauk na krov se popeo
Počela je kiša, u oluk upao!
Granulo je sunce i sve osušilo,
pa se mali pauk opet popeo.
Jedan mali pauk na krov se popeo
Počela je kiša, u oluk upao!
Granulo je sunce i sve osušilo,
pa se mali pauk opet popeo.

Here’s the original English version:

The itsy bitsy spider
Went up the water spout,
Down came the rain and
Washed the spider out,
Out came the sun and
Dried up all the rain,
And the itsy bitsy spider
Went up the spout again.

You can hear the song in the video below…

Many thanks to Bojan Aleksić for sharing this song with us!

Enjoy!
