Here's another version sent by David:

"My mother use to recite this to the grandchildren and it is called 'Paddy on the Railroad' and it goes like this...

Paddy on the railroad
Paddy on the Sea

Paddy lost his britches
and blamed it on me.
I told Ma, Ma told Pa

Paddy got a lickin HA! Ha! Ha!

It was a song or poem that her grandmother taught her when she was a little girl and her Grandmother came from County Cork, Ireland."

Agnes McQuade wrote:

"My Dad was from Glasgow, Scotland. His family were originally from Ireland. He sang this to me and I've sung to my grandchildren..."

Paddy on the railway picking up stones
Along came the engine man and broke Paddy's bones
Oh said Paddy that's no fair
Oh said the engine man you shouldn't been there
Send for the doctor, the doctor wouldn't come
Here comes the ambulance Pum, Pum, Pum!

Please email us the version you know, telling us where it's from if possible. Thanks! Mama Lisa

Watch
The version in the video replaces "paddy" with "piggy" and instead of picking up "stones" he's picking up "sticks".
Please let us know if you think this video has been taken down by YouTube.
