Childproofing Your Home

In addition to Mama Lisa’s World, I’ve been doing work on a home maintenance site called “The Short and Long of Home Renovation”.

Here’s a post I wrote about ways to keep your home safe for kids. I followed these rules myself when my kids were little!

I read your post and it was a great reminder to all parent’s of all the dangers around the home. A further excellent tip involving child poison safety is to have the number for your local poison center nearby at all times. You can reach your local poison center by calling 800-222-1222.

Keep this number near all your phones. Someone is available to answer calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Be sure your caregiver or anyone watching your child is aware of the number and keeps it on or near phones as well.

    Thank you Lisa.
