The Spanish tense changes in the original so it rhymes. We made it all consistent in English and translated it to the present tense. Here's a literal translation showing the tense changes:

At one, I buy prickly pears,
At two, I eat rice,
At three, I visit Agnes,
At four, I go to the theater,
At five, I jump,
At six, I'll play,
At seven, I'll have dinner,
At eight, I radiate peace.
