Any of you who haven’t read The Invention of Hugo Cabret, do so now before the movie comes out in November. A neighbor recommended it to my 10 year old daughter.
It arrived in the mail last week…
I opened the book… turned the pages to see what it was about and became intrigued. It’s like a cross between a book and a graphic novel. Reading on and on and on… before my daughter ever saw it, I finished the book! Now it’s time to urge everyone else to read it…my daughter, my 17 year old son, my husband, parents, nieces and nephews, and then you too! It’s such a fun discovery.
You should go into reading a novel with as little knowledge as possible about the story. So I’m not going to ruin anything for you. I’ll just leave you with these little teasers…
An early short film from 1896…
An automaton from 1810 that writes…
Check out Hugo Cabret and find out what it’s all about!
Happy Reading!
