Two golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes.

No reward offered, for they are gone forever.

    Are these lines are considered to be a saying? Or is it (part of) a verse?

    Hi Tinker Jack,

    I would consider this to be a quotation. It was written by Horace Mann (1796 – 1859), an American educational reformer. It doesn’t seem to be part of another verse.
