International Conference in France about Children’s Culture

Nantes University in France is holding an international conference called “Children’s Culture: Universality and Diversity”. It will take place on March 15th, 16th and 17th in both French and English. Sociologists, educational specialists, folklorists and linguists will analyze the link between children’s cultures, and their universality/diversity and will try to answer such questions as:

-Is there a common underlying unity to all children’s cultures
-What is the connection between the school playground culture and the classroom culture?
-What is the effect of the sociocultural context upon children’s culture?
