We love posting about all sorts of traditions people have. Here’s a fun little one I just learned yesterday from Staci Perry…
Staci wrote on her Facebook Page, “I just remembered that when someone looked especially good we would pretend to lick our fingertip and touch them with it, while making a sizzling sound. ๐ That was fun, why did we stop doing it?! It seems like it fell largely out of fashion around the time we stopped yelling ‘PSYCH!’ to each other after a prank.”
[In New York, we said psych when two people said the same thing at the same time.]
Kathleen responded to Staci’s post, “I remember, in the Mel Brooks movie, Frankenstein, when Madeline Kahn did that. Here’s the clip. Too funny.”
Wendy wrote, “We used to do it to ourselves, too, remember? Ah, nostalgia.”
Alicia wrote, “Yes!!!! Or when we were feeling good about the way we looked and we would do the finger lick and then touch our own hip because we were hot stuff๐.”
Many thanks to Staci and her friends for sharing this little tradition.
