Click on the button on the bottom bar below to watch the wonderful children at the Daddy Ross Preschool in Argentina act out the actions to the song Ten in the Bed.
The music in the background of the video is from a CD called Super Simple Songs.
Here are the lyrics to Ten in the Bed:
There Were Ten in a Bed
There were ten in a bed*
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were nine in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were eight in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were seven in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were six in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were five in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were four in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were three in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There were two in a bed
And the little one said
“Roll over, roll over!”
So they all rolled over
And one fell out. There was one in a bed
And the little one said
“Good night!”*This line can be “There were ten in a bed” or “There were ten in the bed”.
In Super Simple Songs’ version of Ten in the Bed the last line is “I’m lonely”.
The Super Simple Songs CD is chock full of great music for young kids, and those who are learning English as a second language.
Many thanks to Val at the Daddy Ross Preschool and to Devon at Super Simple Songs for letting me post the video. You can click the links to check out more of their work or to buy the Super Simple Songs CD.
Enjoy!

I know this song, it’s been translated to Bahasa Indonesia without loosing the rhymes and the meanings…
Sepuluh di ranjang
dan si kecil bilang
berguling-berguling
semua berguling
dan satu jatuh…

Teguh, does it just need to replace “sepuluh” by “sembilan”, “delapan”, “tujuh”, “enam”, “lima”, “empat”, “tiga”, “dua”, “satu” to have the full song in Indonesian? Then what would be the end of the last verse?

hi Lisa! Hi everyone!
Im Val… from Daddy Ross Preschol…
Well it´s interesting to see the same song in a different language…
Would be adorable to do one video, and each verse or number sang in childrens native language!
This my personal Spanish version of ten in a bed.
“Diez en la cama”
Había 10 en la cama
y el chiquito les gritó:
Dense vuelta!
Dense vuelta!
Todos dieron una vuelta y el de la punta se cayó!
Hay!
Había 9….
Había 1 en la cama
y el chiquito gritó:
¡La cama es mia!
¡La cama es mia!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thanks for sharing your version with us!
It would be cool to do videos with children around the world singing the same song in their own languages. There is a site of a school in France, where the kids and teachers sing Frère Jacques in their native languages at http://demonsaumonde.free.fr/frere.jacques/index.html .
