I received this email just the other day:
I am new to looking into the internet but saw your site. I did not find the song I am looking for. It goes something like this, and I would love to have the words to the whole song.
Do you know the latest song, latest song, latest song?
All the village sings it wrong,
Where’s the Parson’s cow.Sing it now, sing it now,
Tell me where’s the Parson’s cow,
Sing it now, sing it now,
Oh where’s the Parson’s cow?(And the rest tells how the villagers use or have T-bone steaks, leather pouches, etc.)
Thank you for your creative site. I hope you can assist me with these words.
If anyone can help out with the lyrics to this song, please comment below.
Thanks!
Lisa

When the choir came out to sing, hmmm
Out to sing, hmmm
Out to sing, hmmm
They couldn’t think of anything,
but Where’s the Parson’s cow?

The cart came rolling with police, with police, with police.
Their helmets shone with cattle grease.
Where’s the parson’s cow?
Sing it now, sing it now…

The Butcher gave his head a shake, head a shake, as he carved a T-bone steak, oh where’s the Parsons cow?

There was a parson had a cow, had a cow, had a cow,
And she felt ill I don’t know how, parson’s poor old cow. Yeah!
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow tra-la,
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow.
She moaned and groaned from morn till night, morn till night, morn till night
Oh what a sad and dismal sight was the parson’s cow yeah
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow tra-la,
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow.
The neighbours too all had a cry, had a cry, had a cry,
For they all knew the beast must die, parson’s poor old cow, yeah
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow tra-la,
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow.
The butcher’s shop just down the street, down the street, down the street,
Soon had a stock of tasty meat, from the parson’s cow, yeah!
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow tra-la,
Tra la la, tra la la, parson’s poor old cow.

The ringer went to ring the bell,
Ring the bell, ring the bell,
With a cowhide rope he rang it well
Where’s the person’s cow?
