Hi Mama Lisa,
I am traveling to Haiti with my church to work in a school there and I wanted to translate the children’s song ” Rise and Shine” into Creole.
If that song does not translate well – then is there another song that children sing in church there? One preferably telling the story of Noah’s arc???
Thank you so much for any help you can give me.
Kat Mernin
If anyone can help Kat out, please comment below.
Thanks!
Lisa

I don’t know one that deals specifically with the story of noah’s arc but there is “i have a joy, joy, joy.”

Looking for the true spelling of my name in Creole.
Picking random sites that came up outta curiosity!
Noticed this is one cuz of your request for Christian
songs for the children. the info is older, but still caught
my attention! ;) …
I also went to Haiti 2x actually.
Incredible … The contrast of Lush Tropics of that to It’s People.
The Poverty … listening to screams in the night as a drummers
rhythm continued monotonously …
All of this as I sat on the ledge of a brick ‘ house ‘ writing in my journal w/the moon as my light.
Knowing His Light was my comfort & shield as the weks went by.
Fast! The Ophanage we were @ also housed a ‘ Clinic ‘.
(Cap Haitian) This was approx 20! yrs ago … however I will forever
remember, pray, … and truely would go this moment if I could.
Anyway … I could sing a few songs in Creole the Precious Children taught us! lol
Nice to see this … God’s Speed to U & Ur’s,
from my heart to yours, joyousonexo

Thanks for your offer to help!
We would love to add more Creole children’s songs or rhymes to our site. If you know of any, please share them.
Thanks so much!

Lisa – I am also going in March and wondered if you found anything that would help you in a sunday school type setting. Music seems like such a good way to communicate with the children there. Do you have any advice to share?
