Can Anyone Help with the Swedish Song “Mormor’s lilla lassa”?

Elizabeth wrote asking for help with a Swedish song.  Here’s her note:

My Swedish mother would sing a Swedish song to me as she bounced me on her knee. In Swedish it started out, "Mormor’s lilla lassa".

Her English translation was: “Once there was a little boy and he wanted to go for a ride, but he didn’t know how to drive. So first he went this way . . . and then he went that way . . . and then he went down in a ditch." And at the end, she would let me fall back as she said the "ditch" part.

I would love to see the actual Swedish words. Thanks for your help.

If anyone can help with this song, please let us know in the comments below.

Thanks!

Mama Lisa

Elisabeth! Here comes the Swedish childrensong that you asked for.

Mormors lilla kråka skulle ut och åka, ingen hade hon som körde.2 times
Än slank hon hit, än slank hon dit och än slank hon ner i diket.

This is à very common song to sing and play with children in Sweden.

    Good luck from Ulla
    Do you remember the melody?
