Can Anyone Help with the Rhyme “I have two hands, the left and the right”?

Mel wrote asking for help with a rhyme.  Here’s his email:

I’m looking for a Tagalog nursery rhyme, but I don’t know the title. Here’s all of the lyrics that I can remember. I’m looking for the ‘title’ and any remaining verses. Thank you.

I have two hands
The left and the right
Hold them up high
So clean and bright.

Clap them softly
One, two, three
Clean little hands
For you to see.

My mother-in-law will be celebrating her 90th birthday in September. She has 10 children, 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. My wife and I are going to give her a party she’ll never forget. What help you can give will be appreciated. Thank you.

If anyone can help with this rhyme, please let us know in the comments below.

Thanks!

Mama Lisa

I hope someone else provided this to you in time for your party. My mom sings this all the time for my nephew who is 13 months old and he loves it. In case no one else gave it to you, here are the complete lyrics:

I have two hands, the left and the right
Hold them up high, so clean and bright

    Clap them softly
    One – two – three
Clean little hands are good to see

My face is bright, my teeth all white
My dress is clean and all of me

    So dear playmates follow me
So that our mother will be happy
