"My mom used to sing this song to us with gestures. I have taught it to my grandchildren, who love it." -Judy

Mr. Duck and Mr. Turkey - American Children's Songs - The USA - Mama Lisa's World: Children's Songs and Rhymes from Around the World - Intro Image

Notes

This song originally comes from "Small Songs for Small Singers" (1907) by William Harold Neidlinger. Here's the original version:

Mr. Duck went to call on Mr. Turkey,
And he walked with a wobble, wobble, wobble,
And he said, "How do ye do?" to Mr. Turkey
Mr. Turkey said, "Gobble, gobble, gobble."
Mr. Duck then answered, "Quack, quack, quack!"
And turned around to go right back.
Mr. Turkey said, "I'll go with you."
And they looked so very queer those two.
Mr. Duck was walking, wobble, wobble, wobble.
Mr. Turkey talking, "Gobble, gobble, gobble."
