Super Simple Songs CD

The CD Super Simple Songs 2 is great for young kids who are learning the words and hand motions that go with many popular English songs. It’s also ideal for kids who are learning English as a second language. It has a slow version and a fast version to several songs like The Eensy Weensy Spider and The Wheels on the Bus. The slow version is for learning the song and then kids get the chance to hear the song, and eventually sing it, at it’s normal tempo.

Super Simple Songs 2 CD

My 5 year old daughter and I particularly like The Eensy Weensy Spider. It has a verse you sing with very slowly, in a low voice: Instead of “eensy weensy spider”, sing “big, big, spider”.

I think this is a great idea that you could use with other songs too – change the pitch and speed, and use the opposite word of what’s in the song. It teaches kids about pitch, opposites, and keeps them on their toes all at once! Even better, it makes it fun!

We also really liked the Rock Scissors Paper Song. There’s a video online that you can see on Youtube. It’ll show you how to do the song. Check it out. It’s fun!

You can also go to the Super Simple Songs site for ideas to use with the songs.

You can go here to hear clips of some of the songs.

Super Simple Songs is made by Devon at Head, Shoulders, Knees, and all that and Troy at SongStreet.

Enjoy!
