Monique Palomares shared the wonderful illustration she made at the top of the page. Here's what she wrote about it:
"The illustration for the poem 'August Heat' is part of a painting I made based on a painting by Frédéric Bazille called 'Vue de village' (image right above), but in the style of the Austrian-born New Zealand artist and architect Hundertwasser (see some of his work here).
