There Comes a Poor Widow from Barbaryland
Nursery Rhyme
There comes a poor widow from Barbaryland,*
With all her poor children in her hand;
One can brew, and one can bake,
And one can make a wedding cake.
Notes
*Sometimes she comes from Sunderland or from Cumberland.
Sometimes this rhyme has this ending:
Pray take one,
Pray take two,
Pray take the one that pleases you!
