Gregory Griggs, Gregory Griggs,
Had twenty-seven different wigs.
He wore them up (1)
He wore them down (2)
To please the people of the town;
He wore them east, (3)
He wore them west (4)
But which one did he love the best?*
This one! (5)
*Or "And never could tell which he liked best!" The last line, "This one!" was added to the rhyme later on.
Gently bounce the baby on any lines that don't have instructions.
(1) Lift the baby up or you can just raise their arms.
(2) Lower the baby down or lower their arms.
(3) Tilt the baby to the left.
(4) Tilt the baby to the right.
(5) Give the baby a hug!
