Game Instructions

The children go in a circle and put a foot forward, so all the feet make up an inner circle. The child who sings, crouches and touches each foot in turn on each syllable, starting with their own foot.

When they run out of syllables, the child who sings tells the other whose foot he is touching, "change!", and that child puts the other foot forward. The song repeats, starting with the child next to the one who changed feet in the circle. The first who is told "change!" for the second time, exits the circle.

Then there are two ways to go about it: the first who comes out is the one who's chosen, or the game repeats and children continue to exit until the last one who stays in is chosen.
