September
Poem
Blaze on blaze of scarlet sumac,
Roadsides lined with radiant gold,
Purple ironweed, regal, slender,
Rasping locust, shrill and bold.
Dusty smell in field and upland,
Sky of copper mixed with blue,
Life intense as is the weather-
Let's away, just me and you!
