This rhyme is usually recited.

Claire sent us a slightly different version from a cousin of her grandma's. She remembers sitting on her cousin's lap and asking her to do it again.

Pichòt nanet
Mai grand que tu
Grand gusàs
Lèca-farina
E craca-pesol.

English Translation

Tiny little dwarf
Taller than you
Big ogre*
Flour licker
Lice killer.

*"Gusàs" is literally a scoundrel, a rascal… Claire wrote, "The 'grand gusàs', at my grandma's, was a big ogre and when her cousin would pronounce it, she would chant it rolling her r's."
