    Mér um hug og hjarta nú
    hljómar sætir líða.
    Óma vorljóð óma þú
    út um grundir víða.
    Hljóma þar við hús þú sér
    hýrleg blómin skína.
    Fríðri rós, ef fyrir ber,
    færðu kveðju mína.
