Ring-a ring-a raja,
There came Uncle Paul
and ate the eggs.
One egg went crack!
And us kids went, squat!
Notes
Wikipedia gives this translation which it calls a rough translation:
"Ringe Ringe Raya (doesn't mean anything, this is common in Croato-Serbian rhymes),
Uncle Ducky has come,
And he ate all the eggs,
One egg crashed,
And we children DUCK!"
On the last word, the children singing the rhyme jump or duck.
Game Instructions
Children hold hands and sing this song while going around in a circle. On the last line, they squat down.
