About the Languages of the Lorraine Region of France
Lorraine is a region of northeastern France that borders on Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. There are two language families spoken there: Franconian (a low German dialect) and Lorraine (a French dialect). The language called Lorraine Franconian is spoken in the northeastern part of the Lorraine region.
