There was a Japanese (Taisho era, 1912-1925) love song starting with “Ki-mi-ka-la-mo-lat-da han-ka-chi-wa …..” It was still quite popular by the end of 1940s. Could someone let me know the title/name of this song? Thank you very much.

My grandmother, whose father emigrated from Germany before the 20th century, sang me a song when I was a child that began something like this…”Ver ich norden Deutschland verbleiben” then the next part sung in English “where my momma had a little apple stand”… it went on, but I’ve forgotten the rest of it. I am unable to find or complete this sweet song. Any ideas, anyone?
