Recipe for Cranberry Wine Sauce

Here’s a Cranberry Sauce Recipe from my friend Robin. It sounds yummy!

Robin wrote, Here’s my personal fave… given to me by a friend… I sometimes add a little orange zest:

Cranberry Wine Sauce
(Can be made up to 1 week ahead)

Mix in a medium saucepan over medium heat:

3 cups Cranberries
1-1/2 cups Sugar
1-1/4 cup Port Wine (Gallo Port Wine is just fine – doesn’t have to be expensive)

Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until berries pop. Meanwhile, in small cup, blend 1/4 cup cold water and 4-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch until smooth; gradually stir into hot cranberry mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Makes 3 cups. ( I usually double recipe.)

Many thanks Robin Diller Torres and her friend Audrey for the recipe! I can’t wait to try it the next time I make turkey.

Cheers!

    Hi Lisa,

Decided to check out the neighborhood and visit you. We should do a recipe blog for fun. I just made an outragous Sour Cream Pound Cake, I had never made one before…it was work, it was fun and it was heavy, it was delicious, and it was worth all of the work involved.

I could use some great recipes for cookies from differnt counties….I make some awesome biscotti.

    Hugs, Edee
