If you’re painting or decorating rooms in your house, you can get color inspiration from a favorite painting. It’s a great way to get ideas for beautiful color combinations. Check out the painting from Matisse above. You can easily imagine painting a room blue, peach or violet and mixing in other colors from the painting as part of your design scheme.
If you do something like this, you can include your children in the process. Show them the painting from a book and explain how it’s helping you choose colors. They can use this idea in their own artwork when choosing colors to use. Even famous artists have gotten inspiration from other artists.
