Here’s a little poem about clouds by Christina Rossetti.

MP3 of the Poem "Clouds"

Clouds

by Christina Rossetti

White sheep, white sheep,
On a blue hill,
When the wind stops
You all stand still
When the wind blows
You walk away slow.
White sheep, white sheep,
Where do you go?

My Father is 98 years old and learned white sheep as a child.

My sister and I were thinking of our Mom today after looking at the beautiful clouds. Mom would tell us that poem time after time, but we could only remember the first two lines. I told Sis I was going to Google those lines and see what I come up with….lo and behold the whole poem came up at this site. Thank you so much for solving this mystery for us. Our Mother would have turned 95 this coming January. God bless you.

I remember singing this poem in the 4th grade. I cannot find the tune that this poem is sung to. Any ideas?

I haven’t been able to find a tune for this poem. Does anyone else know it?
