Tamera wrote to us looking for help finding a lullaby her great great grandmother sang to her father when he was a little boy. Here’s her email….
I’m hoping someone can help me find this old Swedish lullaby?
My 70 year old father remembers his great grandmother singing it to him when he was a toddler. It’s a favorite in our family, but we haven’t been able to identify or translate it yet.
The lyrics he remembers are: "Na na katten du shag, leever un ligen ner varpet on nag". (I apologize for any misspellings.)
We’ve searched for years and have only been told it has something to do with a cat and his milk. I’d love to be able to share the entire lullaby with him.
If anyone can help with this lullaby, please comment below.
Thanks in advance!
