This was taken during a canoeing trip we took last week on a river by our home. Canoeing is a great activity to do with kids.  Older kids, who are responsible enough not to drop the oars in the water, can help paddle.  This is a great plus for the adults!

We even saw couples with little kids picnicking in nearby canoes.   The little ones fit snuggly into the bottom of the canoe with their lifejackets securely on.

It was such a nice day, we even saw a seagull rowing nearby!

There are many great activities to do outdoors as a family for not much money.  It’s worth taking the time to search around for what’s available near you.
