Can Anyone Help with the Translation of a Chinese Song called Red Rooster?

We have a recording of the Chinese song below.  It’s called Red Rooster. Can anyone help with a translation so we can add it to our Chinese Song Pages?

We appreciate any help!

I love your site, I always try to introduce my kids to poetry from around the world and your work is perfect. Thanks very much. I asked my Chinese friends to translate the poem, below is what they came up with, hope it helps…

    Red Rooster
    Children’s Song
    (English)
    Red rooster, kok kok kok,
Scratching its face and laughing at me.
Laughing at me for not learning,
Laughing at me for not working,
Only knowing to reach out my hand for food,
    So very shameful!

    Red roster, kok kok kok,
Please do not laugh at me,
I’ll definitely change from today onwards,
    To learn and to work.
