Can Anyone Help with an Italian Song about a Cat and Mouse?

Cristina wrote asking for help with a childhood song her grandma sang to her.  Here’s her note:

Mama Lisa,

I am trying to figure out the name of a song my Nonna used to sing to me as a baby. She is from Bari and I cannot find the song anywhere. It went something like “chic de lo spanda lo.. e la gatto cucinare, e lo topo a ballare”.

Can you help?

Thank you,

Cristina

A loose English translation of this song would be: "the spilling of (something) .. and the cat cooks, and the mouse dances."

If anyone can help with the Italian words to this song, please comment below.

Thanks!

Mama Lisa

    Hi,
I see that this is a realllllly late response. But my grandmother was also from Bari and she used to tell me a story about Bettina the mouse and the cat that would tell Bettina what a good cook she was so that he could get close to her to eat her. Does this sound vaguely familiar?
