The Malayalam text below is transliterated.

Notes

Jacob from Dubai sent this longer version of this rhyme:

Kakke kakke koodevide
Koottinakathoru Kunjundo
Kunjinu theetta kodukkanjal
Kunju kidannu karanjeedum ( 2)

Kunje kunje nee tharumo
Ninnude kayyile neyyappam (2)

Ella tharilla neyyappam
Ayyo kakke pattichaai.......(2)

Loose English Translation (We welcome improvements!):

Hey Crow where is your nest?
Is there a little crow in the nest?
If you do not give food to the little one
Will the little crow be crying? (2x's)

Little one, little one, won't you give
The cookie (made of wheat flour fried in oil) that is in your hand (2x's)

No, no I won't give the cookie
Oh! crow, you have cheated me! (2x's)
(Because meanwhile the crow flicked away the cookie from off the hands of the child.)
