About the Serbian Writing System

The Serbian language is written in both Cyrillic and Latin script. The government uses Cyrillic script, however it's not regulated outside of government usage, so people are free to choose which script they use. Publishers also choose one script or the other for their publications. According to Wikipedia, "A survey from 2014 showed that 47% of the Serbian population favors the Latin alphabet whereas 36% favors the Cyrillic one. Latin script has become more and more popular in Serbia, as it is easier to input on phones and computers."
